IMD Alert/Weather Update Today: Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, rain and thunderstorms are continuing in most of the states of the country. According to weather forecast agency Skymet, light to moderate rain may occur in parts of Western Himalayas, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, parts of Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan today. Light to moderate snowfall may occur in higher reaches of Western Himalayas. Light to moderate rain and dust storm very likely over Northwest Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh and parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Apart from this, moderate rains are also expected over Sikkim, Northeast India, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and South Karnataka.
